Most people write in a way that sounds like a high schooler finishing a project. People tend to use words that they don't use in conversation.

This method is a great way to keep your audience engaged because it sounds human! No one wants to sound like a robot discussing the third dimension.
It’s called ‘The BAR Test’.
The BAR test is a method that writers use to make their article easy to read.
You look at your copy and ask if this is what you would say in a conversation.
It’s simple and works every single time.
For you to make your copy sound fluid, read your copy out loud.
Do you stumble on your words? Do you sound awkward?
Is this something you would say?
You don’t want to make the mistake of having run-on sentences in your
copy either.
That will show that you are incompetent. Don’t be incompetent.
A conversation has a flow. No heavy jargon, waffling.
We leave that stuff to the amateurs. We are professionals.
You are the master writer so keep it interesting and concise. Remember to have a creative mind and train yourself into this habit.
